Deck The Trees | COED Tree

Updated: Apr 10

The COED Alumni was able to participate in Deck The Trees by the Alley Theater! COED Cadette Christmas tree went up on November 19th, 2024 at the George R Brown Convention Center. The memories tied to this tree are priceless. Pictures of COED Cadette and Charlie Angel Alumni hang proud. Drums and Bugles adorn the tree. Bold Gold and Blue Milby colors were carefully chosen. You can also see our COED Cadette Nutcracker in memory of Sandra Kay Wilks Honea.

It is a joy for us to honor the memory of Sandra Kay Wilks Honea. We purchased a pink nutcracker and transformed her into a COED Cadette Nutcrakcer and since she has blue eyes she reminded us of Mrs. Honea. She has her drum and smile! Thank you Coach Boyce Honea and Paula Honea Smith for allowing us to honor her memory in our Christmas display.

DECORATING CREW: A special thank you to the COED Cadette Alumni board members who committed their time, inspired the creative COED memories and financed the COED Cadette Christmas tree. Anna Marie Protz, Yvonne D. GonzalesVickie Volrath TamayoJosette Lioness GlazeSamantha Christine Briggs, and Elizabeth Gonzales who set the tone with her theme of “Bugles and Drums”!

This tree was a true combination of all of our gifts and talents. . #coedlove

We were able to place our COED Cadette Alumni photo album and memorial frame for Mrs. Honea. Anyone can flip through the pages of the album when you visit the tree. The COED photos are pages from many of our high school yearbooks.

We truly hope you enjoy this commemorative Christmas celebration of all COED sisters through the years. Celebrating 98 years of COED LOVE!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!
